Mood Board: Fall 2010

Indisputably a fashion lover’s favorite season, fall brings beautiful bright colors, crisp nights, and best of all a valid excuse to layer on the most luxurious pieces and accessories. To kick off the upcoming season, I’ve put together my personal mood board: a collage of tear sheets and clippings of inspirational people and beautiful pieces. Whether its leather and lace, silk and skulls, or feathers and fur, the Fall 2010 season has something for everyone…what’s your mood for Fall?

The Day Soiree

You’re invited to a party at one of the hottest clubs in the city…..you’re stoked! You ring your best girlfriend and request she come with and then, the million dollar question: “What are you wearing???” The party starts at 3 o’clock in the afternoon and you’re completely clueless as to what’s appropriate attire….the sequin mini may be too much.

Day parties are a fairly new trend sweeping major cities and draw a fabulous crowd, but the partygoers are usually unsure of the proper dress attire. Fear not any longer, I’ve scoured the earth (well, not really the whole earth, but a good portion of it) looking for the perfect budget friendly options for a afternoon with the girl’s sipping mojito’s under flashing lights or cutting a rug with your honey until the early night.

Have a blast!!!!!

Taking A Cue.....

The Peach Proxy intern, Adrana Matthews, was able to attend the Stella McCartney Fall Preview Trunk Show at Neiman Marcus to get the first look at what will be keeping us warm during those balmy fall nights....

While you bask in the sun, designers are wrapping up their fall lines, hosting trunk shows, and preparing for Fashion Week. Part of being a fashionable woman is the ability to take cues from major designer labels and use their inspiration to build your fall wardrobe with affordable and similar pieces. We had the pleasure of attending the Stella McCartney Pre-Fall/Fall trunk show at Neiman Marcus to get an early glimpse of what to look for in the coming months.

Known for her signature chunky knit, Stella’s fall collection includes cozy knit sweaters best paired with the harem legging, which Stella has managed to tone down from the exaggerated runway look seen in previous seasons. This look will take you from morning errands to lunch with your girls.

Studs! Studs! And more Studs!! They will be everywhere this fall. Purses, tanks and yes, even leggings. Wearing all 3 will most definitely make you feel like a knight prepping for battle so choose one studded piece and keep it moving.

Keep your eyes open for pieces with simple clean lines paired with bright colors, dry crepe, or luxurious cashmere and wool jackets. And what fall collection would be complete without the LB(or Red)D…Tres chic!!!

Be on the lookout for future posts that will show you, step by step, how to translate these trends to build a fabulous fall wardrobe!

New Kid on The Block

Welcome to the newest addition to the fashion blogosphere, The Peach Proxy! I know, I know….another blog, but trust me when I tell you, this blog is different: I will not only feature current trends but I will also coordinate entire outfits featuring items that are readily available with just a few clicks of a mouse. I’ll also post interviews from various fashion impresarios including designers, models, and even other fashion stylist (I’m no hater!). You’ll get all the latest on future trends, fashion tips, and of course the occasional aspirational image featuring items that exceed our “recessionary budgets” (we’ll just put these on our mood boards and work on translating them to affordable options).

Let’s start with a few summer trends....

Summer's just getting started and so are we...more to come!
